Mumbai: With MLAs from Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena keeping an eye out for who gets a place in the future cabinet of Maharashtra state government, many of them getting upset as the distribution of portfolios is taking so long.

Though the final list of ministers will be finalised by the Congress high command, the Congress is likely to get less share than the other two partners.

According to the sources, Shiv Sena was to have 16 ministers including Chief Minister, NCP 15 and Congress 13 including speaker of assembly.

Now, the equation has changed with the Shiv Sena giving one spot in the cabinet to NCP from their own quota.The State Congress is lobbying strongly to get a berth in the Thackeray-led government.

Former Chief Ministers Ashok Chavan and Prithviraj Chavan want to hold key positions while the new MLAs also want representation in the Cabinet.

Nanabhau Patole from Congress has been already elected as speaker of the Maharashtra assembly.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray already announced that the government will expand the cabinet in next two-three days. According to sources the expansion will be on the Friday before the assembly session begin.
